Stockfish (Game Review)
Game Review and the analysis board run Stockfish, the open-source chess engine, in your browser. Gambit Club sends you an unmodified copy of Stockfish 19, compiled to WebAssembly by the Stockfish.js project, from this site's /engine/ folder. If that copy can't load, the page loads the same build from unpkg.com, or Stockfish 10 from cdnjs.com.
Stockfish and Stockfish.js are free software, licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 3. You may copy, change and share them under that license. The source code for the versions we use is here:
- Stockfish.js 19.0.1, the build we serve: source code (Stockfish.js © Chess.com, LLC, and contributors)
- Stockfish 19, the engine it compiles: source code and releases (© the Stockfish developers; see the AUTHORS file)
- Stockfish.js 10.0.2, the fallback: source code
If you'd like a copy of the source code from us instead, email support@gambitclub.org. Gambit Club is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Stockfish project or Chess.com. The rest of Gambit Club runs separately from Stockfish and is not covered by the GPL.
